Job Summary

A Cleaner is responsible for basic cleaning tasks, including cleaning all common areas, restrooms, entrances, elevators, walkways, windows, furniture, fixtures, stairs, chairs, tables, telephones, drinking fountains, trashing, dusting, polishing, and other assigned areas. We offer multiple shifts, including full-time, part-time, and seasonal opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all basic cleaning tasks.
• Clean restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tiles, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
• Move and reposition furniture, vacuum, empty trash, and replace liners.
• Check trash containers before moving them.
• Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, gum removal, dusting, and spot cleaning glass.
• Handle additional duties such as attending to flooded areas, spills, and restroom concerns.
• Restock carts and closets at the end of each shift.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Previous experience in office cleaning or similar roles preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work assigned hours.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and capable of handling varying workloads.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including bending, kneeling, lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
• Working hours: 8am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Compensation

Harvard offers a competitive salary of $18.00/hour, including benefits such as medical, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance, along with a 401K Savings Plan.
