Job summary

Harvard Maintenance is seeking a dedicated janitorial associate to provide basic cleaning across facilities, including restrooms and common areas.

You will sweep, mop, vacuum, restock supplies, and operate floor-cleaning equipment while adhering to safety policies. The role requires at least 1 year of experience, reliable transport, and willingness to work assigned hours. Compensation starts at $18 per hour.

A day in the life

• Responsible for all basic cleaning
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
• Empty trash and recycling bins, and dispose of waste properly
• Cleaning includes sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in all areas
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
• Perform additional duties as required, including attending to flooded areas, incidental spills, and related clean‑up work for trash and restroom concerns
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation to and from work sites
• Must be willing to work assigned hours
• Capable of performing the physical demands of the job, including bending, kneeling, carrying, lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods
