Janitorial Cleaner - Columbus - FT (Production -2nd Shift)

SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday | 5:30 PM - 2:00 AM

PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly - Every Friday

Job Summary

Frantz Building Services is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial Cleaner for a production environment. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance standards throughout a large manufacturing facility, including restrooms, breakrooms, fitness areas, offices, hallways, entrances, stairwells, handwashing stations, and other common areas.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows safety procedures, and can work independently while delivering consistent results in a fast-paced industrial setting.

• Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, faucets, counters, mirrors, partitions, and touch points multiple times per day
• Dust mop, damp mop, and wet mop floors
• Scrub floors using an iMop on a routine basis
• Restock paper products, soap, and other consumables
• Perform periodic deep cleaning of tile, grout, vents, partitions, walls, sinks, mirrors, and restroom fixtures

Cafeterias, Breakrooms & Kitchenettes

• Empty trash and remove debris
• Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, sinks, counters, and appliances
• Clean and sanitize microwaves inside and out
• Vacuum mats and mop floors
• Arrange furniture and maintain a clean appearance
• Perform detailed quarterly cleaning of walls, vents, windows, furniture bases, and appliances
• Empty cigarette receptacles as needed
• Sweep outdoor seating and gathering areas
• Remove litter and debris
• Clean and sanitize outdoor tables and seating areas

Fitness Center & Medical Center Areas

• Empty trash receptacles
• Vacuum carpets and mats
• Dust and clean visible surfaces
• Mop and maintain hard surface floors
• Clean windows, equipment surrounding areas, vents, and specialty flooring
• Perform scheduled deep cleaning of exam rooms, hallways, gymnasium floors, and tracks

Entrances, Foyers & Waiting Areas

• Maintain professional first impressions throughout entry areas
• Empty trash receptacles
• Clean glass, doors, furniture, and fixtures
• Vacuum and detail clean entrance mats
• Spot clean carpets and hard surfaces
• Perform periodic floor scrubbing and detailed cleaning

Main Hallways

• Dust mop and wet mop hard surface floors
• Vacuum carpeted areas and entrance mats
• Empty trash receptacles
• Clean furniture and high-touch surfaces
• Spot clean walls, glass, and horizontal surfaces
• Complete routine floor scrubbing and periodic deep cleaning

Offices, Cubicles & Common Areas

• Empty trash containers
• Dust and clean furniture
• Vacuum carpeted floors
• Spot clean glass, doors, and touch points
• Mop hard surface flooring
• Detail dust window sills, frames, vents, and other visible surfaces

Conference Rooms

• Clean and sanitize conference tables and furniture
• Arrange chairs and room setup
• Vacuum and mop floors
• Clean coffee stations and refreshment areas
• Maintain glass, windows, and touch points

Handwashing Stations

Clean and sanitize sinks, faucets, handles, and surrounding surfaces multiple times daily

• Dust mop and wet mop floors
• Clean handrails and touch points
• Remove dirt, debris, and smudges
• Perform periodic detailed cleaning as needed

  Safety Requirements

  • Must follow all facility safety policies and procedures
  • Must be comfortable working in a production environment
  • Ability to safely bend, stoop, kneel, lift, and stand for extended periods

  Qualifications

  • Janitorial or industrial cleaning experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and attendance
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must pass pre-employment screening requirements

  Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Push, pull, bend, reach, and climb stairs regularly
  • Perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
