Job summary

UG2 is seeking a Janitorial Cleaner to perform janitorial duties for buildings and related areas under supervision. The role requires quality customer service skills and willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques.

Based in New York, you will handle bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas, maintain safety and PPE, and support the facilities team while delivering clean, safe, and welcoming environments for clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of related customer service and/or facility services experience.
• Valid Driver's License is a plus.
• Floor care experience is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good client/customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
• Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
• Cleaning windowsills and windows.
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
• Wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Maintain vending closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Other routine maintenance duties as assigned.

The Janitorial Cleaner, under the direction of the Janitorial Supervisor or Manager, is responsible for performing janitorial duties for buildings and related areas. Quality customer service skills are required. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
