KEMCO Facilities Services in Montgomery, AL seeks a dependable Janitorial / Custodial Team Member to keep our facilities clean and welcoming. This is a full-time daytime role with a Monday–Friday schedule and a 1-hour lunch break.

The hourly pay is $12, and you will work in Montgomery, AL. The successful candidate will perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom sanitation, and routine upkeep, while following safety procedures and reporting maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors daily.
• Dust and wipe surfaces, desks, counters.
• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain clean common areas and workspaces.

We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial / Custodial Team Member to join our team in Montgomery, AL.

Position Overview

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday daytime position. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in keeping facilities clean and professional, and is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
• 1-hour lunch
• No regular evening shift

Pay

$12.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities may include:

• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
• Dusting and wiping down surfaces
• Cleaning desks, counters, blinds, and other areas
• Emptying trash and replacing liners
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
• Maintaining common areas and workspaces
• Restocking cleaning and restroom supplies
• Following established cleaning and safety procedures
• Reporting maintenance or facility concerns when identified
• Completing assigned cleaning duties thoroughly and on schedule

Qualifications

Candidates should have:

• Reliable transportation
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Reliable telephone access
• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
