Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company is seeking a dependable janitorial associate in Elba, Alabama. You will stock break rooms, keep facilities clean, empty trash, and assist with restroom sanitation to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

The role requires detail orientation, the ability to follow written and verbal directions, and the stamina to lift up to 50 pounds. We value a strong work ethic, independence, and reliability in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be detail oriented, organized and fast.
• Able to follow verbal and written directives.
• Good communication with coworkers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Stock break room areas with supplies.
• Keep break rooms clean and sanitary.
• Empty trash and insert new liners.
• Sweep porches, steps, sidewalks; wipe entry doors.
• Clean and maintain restrooms with stocked supplies.
• Report problems to supervisor with attention to detail.
• Vacuum all carpeted areas and mats.
• Clean coffee pots in breakroom and offices.
• Disinfect and wipe surfaces like desks and doorknobs.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary And Responsibilities

• Stock all break room areas with supplies
• Ensure break rooms are clean and sanitary
• Empty trash receptacles and insert new liners
• Sweep porches, steps and sidewalks and wipe down glass on entry doors
• Clean and maintain restrooms ensuring sinks are wiped down and paper products are stocked
• Maintain good eye for detail, report problems with building to supervisor
• Use vacuum to clean all carpet and carpet mats
• Clean coffee pots in breakroom and office
• Disinfect and wipe down surfaces such as desks, tables, doorknobs, and office tools
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
