Job summary

Harvard Maintenance is seeking an Area Manager to oversee janitorial operations across multiple buildings within the Phoenix area. You will manage site supervisors, coordinate staffing and training, and ensure exceptional service quality for existing clients while identifying opportunities to expand the business.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, planning, and project management skills, with extensive travel across geographies and a focus on compliance with safety and quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years industry experience preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.

A day in the life

The primary focus of an Area Manager will be to service the existing business, both operationally and financially, while maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing new business where possible. This person will oversee janitorial operations across multiple buildings, ensuring exceptional service quality and client satisfaction. This leadership role involves managing site supervisors, coordinating staffing and training, conducting inspections, and implementing operational improvements.

Minimum Of Two (2) Years’ Industry Experience Highly Preferred

• Ability to demonstrate expertise in the field’s concepts, practices and procedures
• Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Planning Ability to perform short- and long-range planning
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills

Experience working with sub-contractor suppliers

Ability to travel and across multiple geographies

• Excellent project and program management skills
• Must be flexible with hours and schedules
• Technical knowledge of all aspects of janitorial service delivery
• Ability to multi-task in a high pressure, fast paced environment
