Job summary

TPI Staffing, Inc. is hiring a Janitor for the 2nd shift in Houston. You will maintain general building upkeep in a distribution and/or office environment, with responsibilities including cleaning, sanitizing, and setup support for meetings and events.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, up to 50 lbs lifting, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment with attention to safety and detail.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform standard janitorial duties including dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing restrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Assist with setup of facilities for meetings and events.
• Operate powered equipment and cleaning tools for floors, walls and surfaces.
• Follow chemical handling instructions and maintain safety protocols.
• Move and organize materials as needed and assist with ladder usage.

Janitor

Temp to Hire

$17.00/hr + $1.00 Shift differential

• 2ndShift (1 position needed)
  • Base Pay: $17.00/hour
  • Shift Differential:$1.00/hour
  • Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday

Position Summary: Maintain general building upkeep within a distribution and/or office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform standard janitorial duties including dusting,
  detailing, vacuuming, sanitizing and cleaning restrooms, warehouse, offices,
  common areas and kitchen.
• Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences,
  events, etc.
• Use and maintain assigned power equipment, hand tools, buffers, auto
  scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums,
  brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of
  floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
• Use ladders when required in work assignments.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as
  - Have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: Interpersonal
  skills, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, calculating,
  reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, mathematics, organizing and
  innovation.
• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
• Operate powered industrial trucks (pallet rider and fork lift)

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of janitorial/custodial experience is preferred.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• May need to lift up to 50 lbs.
