Job summary

TRDI is seeking a Full-Time Janitor in San Antonio, TX to clean and maintain working areas and washrooms. You will perform sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and dusting, with a focus on safety and compliance. A valid driver’s license is required and evening/weekend flexibility may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Cleans floors, bathrooms, and work areas by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
• Inspects equipment for proper operation prior to use.
• Performs dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting, spot cleaning, and trash removal.
• Replenishes site supplies and organizes materials.
• Empties and decontaminates trash containers; disposes of infectious waste when assigned.
• Mixes cleaning solutions per required concentrations; washes blinds and windows.
• Launders mops and rags; reports potential safety hazards to supervisor.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures, including OPSEC and GFP controls.
• Maintains site Accident Prevention Plan per EM 385-1-1 where applicable.
• Performs other tasks as directed by Project Manager/Supervisor.

Positions Summary

Position is a Full-Time position. The Janitor cleans all working areas and washrooms, or premises of a building. The Duties involve a combination of the following: Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, removing trash, dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures. This position requires a valid driver's license. The general responsibilities of this position include those listed below, but the organization may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among job sites, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Cleans floors, bathrooms, working areas of buildings and other assigned areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing.
• Inspect all equipment for proper operations prior to using.
• Performs high and low dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting, spot cleaning, and trash removal as needed.
• Help organize site supplies by replenishing supplies as needed.
• Empties and decontaminate trash containers.
• Disposes of infectious waste when assigned.
• Mixes or blends routine cleaning solutions to proper concentration as necessary for various tasks.
• Washes blinds, windows, screens, sills and walls with prescribed solutions.
• Launder rags, mops, etc. from sites.
• Identifies, and reports any potential safety hazards to Supervisor.
• Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
• Adheres to Operations Security (OPSEC) standard operations procedures.
• Adheres to Property Control Plan for management of Government Furnished Property (GFP).
• Adheres to the safety and health program that complies with EM 385-1-1 and applicable OSHA, DOD, Armed Forces Branch(s), Federal, state, and local safety, environmental and health requirements.
• Maintain a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP) in accordance with Appendix A, EM 385-1-1.
• Other tasks as directed by the Project Manager/Supervisor.
