Job summary

Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a motivated Janitor in Grass Valley, CA to maintain cleanliness in commercial and medical building settings. You will ensure a welcoming and sanitary space for occupants and visitors.

The role requires routine cleaning, disinfecting, trash disposal, restocking supplies, and collaboration with maintenance teams. Flexibility for day and evening shifts is provided, with safety protocols and health screening requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all common areas, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
• Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons.
• Empty and properly dispose of trash and medical waste according to established guidelines.
• Refill dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces as necessary.
• Collaborate with maintenance and facility teams to address any issues related to building cleanliness and safety.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc team.
