Job Description

Raymond West is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team! This role will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of an office facility. Key duties include tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, waste removal, and minor maintenance. The role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and within a team. Candidates should have previous cleaning experience, knowledge of cleaning techniques and products, and follow safety protocols. The position may require working outside regular hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Additionally, the janitor will report maintenance issues and safety hazards when necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive.

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.


• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.


• Clean and sanitize restrooms.


• Empty trash and recycling bins.


• Restock supplies in restrooms and break rooms.


• Clean mirrors and windows


• Must be able to work from heights using the appropriate equipment and adhering to safety protocols, this may include the use of ladders or mobile elevated platform equipment.


• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to promote a safe working environment. Assist in setting up and taking down furniture and equipment for events as needed.


• May work with Misc cleaning supplies relevant to the need for construction


• Operating Powered industrial truck as associated with miscellaneous maintenance tasks


• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs.


• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.


• Follow safety protocols and use cleaning products safely.


• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.


• Ensure all areas are clean and presentable.


• Assist with setting up and breaking down for events.


• Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas.


• Respond to emergency cleaning requests


• Maintain outdoor areas, including sweeping and trash removal.


• Follow a daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule.


• Collaborate with other staff to ensure a clean environment.


• Adhere to company policies and procedures.


• Provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position

• High School Diploma


• 3-5-year minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Hours:

• Weekdays (Monday through Friday 4-5-hour shift), start time will be between 5:00 am - 6:00 am.

Pay Range:

• The hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

Qualified candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
