Job summary

Huntleigh USA Corporation is hiring a Part-Time Janitor at Houston Hobby Airport to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, travelers, and visitors.

Pay is $15.00 per hour with part-time scheduling. Duties include cleaning offices and common areas, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, cleaning jet bridges, and following all safety policies. High school diploma and reliable transportation preferred; must be 18+ and able to pass a drug screening.

Qualifications

Huntleigh USA is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Part-Time Janitors at Houston Hobby Airport (HOU). In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for airport employees, passengers, and visitors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect offices and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, and dust assigned areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean and maintain jet bridges.
• Clean stairways and gate areas.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout designated airport facilities.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift, squat, stoop, push, stand, bend, and walk throughout the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and/or hold 10–20 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent may be required at some locations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have a reliable telephone number for communication.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening (DOT or Non-DOT, as applicable) and comply with random testing requirements.
