Merchants Building Maintenance, a large, family-owned commercial cleaning company in the Southwestern US, is seeking a janitor for on-site cleaning in Long Beach, CA. You will perform general cleaning and preservation tasks in buildings, hospitals, warehouses, or malls under supervisor directions.

The role requires physical work, lifting up to 50 lbs and sustained mobility; training is provided. You will report to Daysi and contribute to a reliable, responsive service for customers and staff.

Position Summary

Janitors are responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of an assigned area. The assigned area could be a building, hospital, warehouse, shopping mall or other facility. Exact tasks of janitorial are not definite, consequently, must be flexible in performing assigned duties as assigned by a Supervisor as mentioned below.

Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing, and frequently lift and/ or moving a minimum of 50 lbs. of office and facilities equipment and trash and the ability to safely use equipment provided. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
