Job summary

Aleut Federal, LLC seeks a Janitor II at our Harpers Ferry, West Virginia facility. The role includes performing daily cleaning tasks and ensuring areas meet quality standards after each shift. The position is full-time with an hourly rate of $18.47 and a schedule Monday through Friday evenings.

U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence and a valid driver’s license are required. We offer health and dental coverage, PTO, disability and life insurance, and a professional work environment

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related janitorial experience preferred.
• Contract requires U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent residence; must have valid social security card.
• Contract required ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
• Must have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and reach repetitively.
• Must have sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods.
• Must be able to lift to 25 lbs. regularly.
• Hourly Rate $18.47
• Hours: Monday-Friday 4:30 PM-1:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic cleaning duties such as floors, rugs, walls, glass, and rubbish.
• Check off tasks daily to confirm area cleaned and building completed.
• Mix water and detergents per product specs and dispense chemicals with correct labels.
• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gathers and empties trash near exterior entrances.
• Services, supplies, and cleaning restrooms.
• Dusts office furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Spot clean or shampoo carpets; strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Drives vans to travel to various work sites.
• Move equipment with hand truck as needed.
• Inform lead/manager of repairs or supplies needed.
• Wash, dry, and fold rags and towels.
• Represents the Company with professionalism and commitment to quality.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform periodic cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
• Responsible for checking off takes daily to ensure the area was cleaned and the building was completed.
• Mix water and detergents in containers according to product specifications to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, or furniture, and dispense chemicals in bottles with correct labels.
• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gathers and empties trash, including trash cans, near the exterior main entrances.
• Services, supplies, and cleaning restrooms
• Cleans and polishes furniture, drinking fountains, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning products and sponges
• Dusting of office furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Spot clean or shampoo carpets; strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Drives vehicles (vans) for travel to various work sites.
• You may have to move equipment and supplies manually or using a hand truck.
• Notifies the lead or manager of any major equipment repairs or additions needed in custodial services.
• Informs lead or manager of supplies and equipment required for cleaning or maintenance duties.
• Wash, dry, and fold rags and towels – all team members are responsible
• Represents the Company at all times with professionalism & a commitment to quality.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
