Job summary

Challenger Pallet & Supply, Inc. is seeking a dependable janitorial worker to keep the front offices, plant offices, breakrooms and restrooms spotless and safe for our team and visitors.

You will dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize restrooms, restock supplies, and report safety hazards in a manufacturing setting. The role offers steady weekday hours and an opportunity to contribute to a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Previous janitorial, custodial or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required. We'll train the right person.
• Reliable and on time. Being here every Monday, Wednesday and Friday matters.
• Able to work on your own and manage your time well.
• Comfortable working in an active manufacturing setting.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, kneel and lift up to 25-40 lbs.
• Knows how to use cleaning chemicals safely, or is willing to learn.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the front offices, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and emptying trash and recycling.
• Clean and sanitize all restrooms in the front office and the plant, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors and floors.
• Restock toilet paper, paper towels, soap and other restroom supplies.
• Clean the plant offices and breakrooms, including counters, tables, sinks and refrigerators.
• Clean breakroom microwaves inside and out.
• Clean and sanitize the drinking fountains.
• Wipe down high-touch surfaces like door handles, light switches and shared equipment.
• Take trash to the outdoor dumpsters.
• Keep track of cleaning supplies and tell your supervisor when they're running low.
• Report any repairs, maintenance problems or safety hazards you notice.
• Follow all safety rules in the plant, including wearing the required PPE and watching for forklifts and other equipment.

Challenger Pallet & Supply makes and supplies wooden pallets and crates for customers throughout the intermountain west. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to keep our offices, breakrooms and restrooms spotless, comfortable and safe for our team and visitors. If you notice the small things others miss, we want to hear from you.
