Mallory Community Health Center seeks a dedicated Janitor/Housekeeping staff to maintain clean, safe facilities for patients and staff. You will perform general cleaning across offices and clinic spaces following established procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities include sanitizing treatment rooms, maintaining floors and surfaces, handling cleaning chemicals safely with PPE, and coordinating with nursing staff for urgent cleaning needs.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of housekeeping experience in a medical facility.
• Knowledge of health facility sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of office policies and procedures regarding housekeeping functions and standards, including safety and sanitation.Knowledge of cleaning methods, infection control, materials, tools and equipment.Ability to follow established procedures, of the highest cleanliness standards, relative to cleaning and maintenance of a Health Facility.Skill in operating housekeeping equipment and machines.Ability to maintain confidentiality and observe all requirements of the Federal Privacy Act and HIPAA regulations.Job Summary:The Mallory Community Health Center’s Janitor/Housekeeping will perform general cleaning of all office and buildings required for daily operations. Duties include general cleaning of the facilities and other types of work as determined necessary by management to assist in providing a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for executing work under the direction of Corporate Business Manager (CBM) and/or Janitor/Housekeeping Lead, and the requests of the nursing staff, in emergency situations.Responsible for the appearance and cleaning of Mallory CHC facilities.Constant alertness to needed repairs and the completion of work order requests.Abide by the cleaning procedures set forth by Mallory CHC.Carry out assigned duties in areas related to infection control; to include sanitation procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Handle appliances, equipment, and cleaning chemicals in a safe manner.Perform cleaning of office areas as outlined in clinic housekeeping procedures.Perform cleaning and sanitizing of medical treatment rooms as outlined in clinic housekeeping procedures.Maintain flooring throughout the entire facility by vacuuming and spot cleaning carpet or mopping and waxing tile floors as outlined in the clinic housekeeping procedures.Wash ceilings, walls, lights, windows, fixtures, mirrors, and vents according to clinic housekeeping procedures and on the pre-determined cleaning schedule.Responsible for the organization of equipment, supplies, in all housekeeping supply rooms and housekeeping areas.Responsible for the proper use, care, and maintenance of all supplies and equipment used in performing housekeeping duties.Responsible for keeping all containers labeled appropriately.Required to attend all mandatory departmental meetings.Perform other necessary duties as required by the Community Health Center to meet the goals of providing primary health care.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required.Minimum one-year experience in housekeeping, preferably at a medical facility.Certifications/Licenses:N/APhysical Requirements:ActivityOccasionally (1-33%)Frequently (34-66%)Continuously (67-100%)SittingXStandingXWalkingXBendingXSquattingXClimbingXKneelingXTwistingXLifting (0-50 lbs.)XLifting (50+ lbs.)Carrying (0-50 lbs.)XCarrying (50+ lbs.)Pushing (0-300 lbs.)XVisual and Hearing Requirements:YesMust be able to see with corrective eye care.YesMust be able to hear clearly with assistance.OtherMay be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases.
