The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside a particular building or multiple client sites. Tasks may vary, so flexibility in performing duties per client’s specifications is essential.

DePaul Universal is hiring for a Full Time Groundskeeper

Wage is $20.90 / hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These duties are necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:

• Empty and clean all waste containers. Remove waste paper and garbage from the premises to the designated area; damp wipe containers.
• Empty and clean all ash trays, monitor all sand urns supply, and restore sand as required.
• Dust all image frames, charts, graphs, and wall hangings.
• Damp dust all ceiling and air condition diffusers, partition grilles, registers, and other ventilating louvers.
• Vacuum all mats and carpeted areas in workplaces, lobbies, and corridors.
• Hand dust and clean all office furnishings, files, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and other flat surfaces.
• Wipe clean and buff all metal hardware fixtures and bright work.
• Clean and polish tile floor surfaces as required.
• Damp wipe and buff all glass furnishings.
• Clean entry door glass indoors and on the outer surface.
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces such as doors, door frames, light switches, private entry glass, and dividers.
• Wash, clean, and sterilize all water coolers.
• Sweep private stairways, and vacuum if carpeted.
• Clean building floors by sweeping and mopping.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, restock supplies as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include:

• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a janitorial position.
