Job Title: Janitor

We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Janitor positions at Roane County Schools, located at 120 Breazeales Street, Harriman, TN 37748. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirements: No prior experience required. Willing to train!

Pay and Perks:

• Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour
• Sign-On Bonus: Full time $500, Part time $250

Job Summary

The Janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly, performing heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
2. Dust and damp mop floors.
3. Move and replace furniture for cleaning.
4. Clean assigned areas using proper materials and procedures, including sanitizing surfaces.
5. Wash walls, windows, furniture, and baseboards.
6. Identify areas needing cleaning and complete tasks proactively.
7. Follow all guidelines and complete tasks as assigned.
8. Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
9. Contribute to team efforts and maintain professionalism.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
