Job Description for Janitor Position

SSC is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Janitor positions at Terrell ISD, located at 701 Town North Drive, Terrell, TX 75160. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules, Monday - Friday, hours may vary. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: Willing to train!

Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintain cleanliness and order in buildings by performing heavy cleaning duties including floor cleaning, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and restore them afterward.
• Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, sanitize all surfaces, following the eight-step cleaning process.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to ensure a clean environment.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and complete tasks proactively.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor, adhering to all relevant guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Work collaboratively with team members, demonstrating professionalism.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
