Job Opening: Janitor

SSC is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Janitor positions at MT Pleasant ISD, located at 2011 North Edwards Avenue, Mount Pleasant, TX 75455. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time shifts, Monday - Friday. Hours may vary. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: Willing to train!

Pay Rate: $10.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Responsible for keeping buildings clean and orderly, including heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and return them to proper placement.
• Clean assigned areas using appropriate materials and equipment; sanitize all surfaces following the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and complete tasks proactively.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisors and perform duties in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
