Job summary

SSC Services For Education is hiring for a full-time janitor at Troy High School, 205 North Waco Road, Troy, TX 76579. Position may be available at other schools in the district. Schedule is Monday through Friday with potential part-time options.

The fixed pay rate is $12.00 per hour. Background checks are required. A comprehensive benefits package and same-day pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
• Candidates will be subject to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and returns furniture to the correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, sanitizes all surfaces, and follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for students, visitors and staff.
• Identifies areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete tasks.
• Completes all tasks assigned by a supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refines floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team and exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
