Job summary

SSC Services For Education in Austin, TX is hiring a full-time Janitor at Lake Travis High School (3324 Ranch Road 620 South, Austin, TX 78738). This position offers a 3:30 PMA012:00 AM shift, Monday through Friday, with potential adjustments to fit scheduling needs. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

Prior janitorial experience is preferred but not required. The role includes cleaning, trash disposal, floor care and maintaining a safe environment for staff, students and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures and infection‑control plans.
• Dust and mop floors according to approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and return items to their proper placement.
• Clean assigned areas using approved materials and equipment; sanitize all surfaces following the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for staff, visitors and students.
• Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by a supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and local guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team; exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
