SSC is hiring immediately for full-time JANITOR positions.

Location: Crawfordsville Community Schools - 715 Wallace Avenue, Crawfordsville, IN 47933. (Openings at other locations within the school district available). Note: online applications only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm. More details provided upon interview.

Requirements: Previous custodial experience preferred but not required. Willing to train!

Pay Rate: $13.50 per hour.

Job Summary: Maintains cleanliness of buildings by performing heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties:

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for cleaning, then returns them to proper placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with appropriate materials and equipment, sanitizes surfaces, and follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Identifies areas needing cleaning and takes initiative to complete tasks.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs duties in accordance with all federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refinishes floors; shampoos carpets.
• Contributes to team efforts and maintains professionalism.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
