Job summary

Challenge Unlimited Inc. is seeking a Janitor to support Scott Air Force Base Janitorial sites. You will perform cleaning and floor care, restocking supplies, and operate janitorial equipment according to safety standards.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. A minimum of 1 year janitorial experience is required, and a valid driver’s license may be needed for site transport. Candidates with a disability are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of janitorial experience required.
• Must pass criminal background check and state/federal registry checks (DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System).
• Must pass driving history check and maintain a valid driver’s license; 21 or older to drive company van.

Responsibilities

• Performs janitorial duties with emphasis on floor care (cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping).
• Operates cleaning equipment safely.
• Restocks supplies and maintains cleaning materials.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Project Manager (Custodial), Supervisor, or the Crew Leader (depending on the site), the Janitor is responsible for developing work skills and performing work at the assigned site(s) at Scott Air Force Base Janitorial

• Rate Pay: $17.75per hour.
• Shift:Days - Full Time
• Days: Monday- Friday-6:30 am - 2:30 pm

Typical Duties

• Performs janitorial duties, specializing in floor care. Cleans, sanitizes, sweeps, vacuums, dusts, mops,
• scrubs, buffs, strips, and waxes.
• Janitorial work includes washing, rinsing, wiping, cleaning, and
• restocking.
• Safely operates equipment.
• May be assigned to label and dilute chemicals used and
• maintain cleaning supplies.
• Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers, communicating needs to the supervisor, and implementing feedback for improvement.
• Performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality, and customer service.

Requirements

1+ years of janitorial experience required.

Must pass criminal background check. Must pass various State and Federal registry checks. Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.

May be required pass driving history check and Company policy criteria. Must maintain valid driver’s license and be 21 or older to drive Company van to transport workers, supplies, and equipment between building assignments. Company travel using personal insured vehicle is not required.
