Job summary

CW Resources is seeking dedicated Custodians in Charlottesville, VA to keep facilities clean and safe. Training is provided, and obtaining security clearance will be discussed during interviews. Per diem shifts, as needed, with a base pay of $27.54 per hour.

You will perform routine cleaning tasks, restrooms, waste disposal, and surface sanitization while learning with supportive teams. Ability to obtain government base access is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Take out the trash and replace bags.

Description

Obtaining and maintaining the appropriate Security Clearance is required to access the primary worksite. Obtaining Securing Clearance can be a lengthy process and will be discussed during the initial interview. Everyone is encouraged to apply! CW staff will help throughout the entire process.

We’re hiring Custodians to help keep things clean and running smoothly. Never done this kind of work before? That’s totally fine—we’ll train you and make sure you feel confident every step of the way.

• Shift: Per Diem, as needed (must be willing to learn how to strip and clean floors)
• Pay: $ 27.54

A Day in the Life of a Janitor/Custodian at CW Resources:

• Start your day by checking in with your supervisor and teammates to go over the cleaning plan and what needs to be done that day.
• Grab your cleaning supplies —like mops, brooms, vacuums, and disinfectants—and load up if you need to.
• When you get to your assigned area, you'll get started by:
  • Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming the floors.
  • Taking out the trash and putting in fresh bags.
  • Cleaning restrooms, refilling supplies, and wiping down tables, chairs, doors, and more.
  • Dusting furniture, shelves, and vents.
  • Wiping windows, mirrors, and glass doors.
• Before finishing your shift, you'll walk through the area one last time to make sure everything looks clean and neat.
• Finally, return your tools and supplies to the storage area and get ready for tomorrow.

• Working in confined or awkward spaces such as under sinks, behind furniture, or inside equipment areas may be required.
• Noise from vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and other cleaning machinery may be present; hearing protection provided when necessary.
