HPC has an opening for a highly motivated Janitor located in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will provide exceptional cleaning services at the Health Clinics, including Examination Rooms and Laboratories for the Travis County Health Department. The candidate will work on-site and report directly to and respond to HPC.

Core Responsibilities

Position details and duties required under this contract generally include, but are not limited to:

Examination Rooms and Laboratories shall be cleaned and disinfected daily, unless otherwise coordinated and approved through the designated facility point of contact and/or the Contract Administrator.

The following procedures outlined shall be followed:

• Clean floors with detergent and germicidal solution.
• Clean and wipe dry basins. Polish Nickel work.
• Clean light switches, doors, and kick plates.
• Clean, dust, and disinfect examination tables and countertops, including under head and foot elevated ends.
• Dust examination lights, light fixtures, cabinets, ledges, blinds, and fans. Refill supplies – towels, tissue, soap, dispensers, etc.
• Empty, clean, and wash trash receptacles; replace liners.
• Medical waste contained in orange plastic bags will be disposed of by the facility occupants.
• Clean and disinfect HVAC registers with a disinfectant/fungicide.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Skilled in the performance of medical facility cleaning services
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the cleaning of medical areas.
• Skilled in the performance of medical facility cleaning services.
• Individuals hired to perform as day persons, if required, will have a minimum of six (6) months’ experience in servicing medical facilities.
• Must have experience Buffing, Waxing, Stripping, and Carpet Shampooing.
• Must have ability to use time app, complete necessary checklists, inventory & provide other data.
• MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE, VERIFIABLE & RELIABLE
• MUST POSSES A DOJ SECURITY CLEARANCE OR BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK/SECURITY CLEARANCE OF THIS LEVEL.
