Job summary

Harvard Maintenance is seeking a dependable cleaner for our Grayslake area operations. The role involves cleaning, sanitizing restrooms and common areas, restocking supplies, and using floor care equipment on a second shift, Monday through Friday.

Minimum 1 year of experience preferred. Strong communication skills and reliable transportation to sites are essential. You must be able to perform physical tasks and work assigned hours. Competitive pay with benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Responsible for all basic cleaning.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
• Attend to flooded areas and incidental spills as needed.

A day in the life

• Responsible for all basic cleaning

• Empty trash and recycling bins, and dispose of waste properly
• Cleaning includes sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in all areas
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
• Performs additional duties as required, including attending to flooded areas, incidental spills, and related clean-up work for trash and restroom concerns
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred

• Must be willing to work assigned hours
