Job summary

Entrust Corporation is seeking a 2nd shift janitor to maintain clean, safe, and organized spaces across office and manufacturing areas. You will perform cleaning tasks, operate floor-care equipment, sanitize bathrooms, restock supplies, and ensure proper use of PPE.

Typical duties include vacuuming, mopping, window cleaning, trash removal, and reporting maintenance concerns. Candidates should have prior janitorial experience, good English communication, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience in an office or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, complete assigned tasks accurately, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English to effectively follow work instructions and provide status updates.
  • Demonstrates a positive, professional, and customer-service-oriented attitude when interacting with employees, visitors, and team members.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality, and workplace safety.
  • Ability to follow established company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments efficiently within established timeframes.

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical activities throughout the shift. Ability to climb stairs and ladders as required to perform cleaning duties. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools for cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpet, furniture, and related areas.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop flooring and stairs.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
  • Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
  • Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
  • Empty trash cans, replace liners, and clean receptacles as necessary.
  • Dust and clean office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
  • Clean windows and windowsills.
  • Maintain janitor closets and janitorial equipment in a clean, organized, safe, and operable condition.
  • Properly use all chemicals and always wear required PPE.
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or equipment problems to the janitorial Supervisor.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness standards across office and manufacturing spaces.
  • Complete assigned work order tickets and cleaning tasks in a timely manner.
  • Operate cardboard and garbage compactor.

Position Overview

The Janitorial position 2nd shift is responsible for maintaining assigned areas in a clean, safe, sanitary, and well-organized condition. This position performs a variety of cleaning and facility support tasks to ensure a positive environment for employees, visitors, and customers. Key responsibilities include routine cleaning, floor care, waste removal, restroom cleaning, dusting, and the proper use of equipment and supplies. The employee is expected to follow all established safety policies, cleaning procedures, and quality standards while completing assigned tasks efficiently and effectively. Performance will be evaluated based on the cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas, completion of scheduled duties, adherence to safety and operational procedures, and the proper use and care of equipment and materials.


Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM Central Time.


Responsibilities


  • Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, including buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpet, furniture, and related areas.

  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop flooring and stairs.

  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms.

  • Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.

  • Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.

  • Empty trash cans, replace liners, and clean receptacles as necessary.

  • Dust and clean office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.

  • Clean windows and windowsills.

  • Maintain janitor closets and janitorial equipment in a clean, organized, safe, and operable condition.

Preferred Qualifications


  • 2+ years of previous janitorial or custodial experience in an office or manufacturing environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.


Compensation

Compensation Range: The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $14.06-$20.63 per hour (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
