Job summary

Cibo Vita in Totowa, NJ is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Worker to maintain clean offices, labs, and production areas, supporting optimal productivity and food-safety standards. You will follow the Master Sanitation Schedule, assist with daily tasks, operate basic sanitation equipment, and perform lifting up to 50 lbs while standing long shifts.

Prior manufacturing sanitation experience (1–3 years) and basic English are required for this role.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in Manufacturing Sanitation is required.
• Basic mathematical and counting skills are required.
• Basic understanding of English language is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, laboratories, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, conference rooms, production areas and other areas within the Plant and facility.
• Clean windows, doors, ledges, baseboards, floors, walls, floor-wall junctions and air conditioning vent covers in office areas, cafeteria and restrooms.
• Adhere to daily worksheet and Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Assist management with other tasks as required.
• Operate trash compactor machine and cardboard baler.
• Follow cGMPs, SOPs, safety policies and guidelines.
• Carry out written instructions and document jobs performed.

Job Summary: A sanitation worker is responsible for the cleanliness of the facility; offices and plant manufacturing areas allowing for optimal cleanliness and overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean offices, laboratories, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, conference rooms, production areas and other areas within the Plant and facility.
• Clean windows, doors, ledges, baseboards, floors, walls, floor-wall junctions and air conditioning vent covers in office areas, cafeteria and restrooms.
• Adhere to daily worksheet and Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Assist management with other tasks as required.
• Operate trash compactor machine and carboard baler.
• Follow the current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Company Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s), safety policies and guidelines.
• Carry out written instructions and fill out documentation of jobs performed.
• 1-3 years’ experience in Manufacturing Sanitation.
• Basic mathematical and counting skills.
• Basic understanding English language.
• Must be able to perform required repetitive lifting tasks associate with the warehouse environments. Physical Stamina:
• Ability to continuously lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, twist, and walk throughout the shift
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift 8-10+ hours.
