Job summary

ENTEK Terre Haute, IN is seeking a dependable Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment across the facility. You will perform restroom and floor cleaning, waste disposal, and daily upkeep to support operations and visitors.

The successful candidate will have custodial experience, knowledge of cleaning chemicals, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. This full-time role requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and flexible shifts in days/evenings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors and shower areas.
• Maintain lunchrooms, kitchenettes, and common areas.
• Empty trash and replenish supplies.
• Dispose of shredded materials and waste.
• Dust, mop, vacuum and clean floors throughout offices and production areas.
• Clean walls, windows, doors and furniture.
• Perform floor care, including stripping, waxing and carpet cleaning.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Support 5S workplace organization.
• Monitor janitorial tasks and coordinate daily cleaning priorities.
• Maintain inventory and order custodial supplies.
• Assist with additional facility cleaning and support duties.

What You'll Do

As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in supporting daily operations by ensuring our facility remains clean, organized, and welcoming for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities include:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, and shower areas
• Maintain lunchrooms, kitchenettes, and common areas, including counters, appliances, tables, and sinks
• Empty trash containers and replenish restroom and janitorial supplies
• Collect and properly dispose of shredded materials and waste
• Dust, mop, wet mop, vacuum, and clean floors throughout offices and designated production areas
• Clean walls, windows, door frames, screens, furniture, and shared workspaces
• Perform floor care, including stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning as needed
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
• Support 5S workplace organization standards
• Monitor janitorial tasks and help coordinate daily cleaning priorities
• Maintain inventory and order custodial supplies
• Assist with additional facility cleaning and support duties as assigned

Requirements

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires:

• Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, climbing, and lifting
• Lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary
• Safe handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals and waste materials
• Ability to use custodial equipment and maintain a physically demanding work pace
