Job summary

Controlled Contamination Services is seeking a reliable Janitor to maintain interior buildings and offices in the San Francisco area. The role covers general cleaning, restroom maintenance, floor care, and reporting any hazards to supervisors.

You will follow safety rules, use cleaning equipment, and support contract requirements across client facilities. A High School diploma or GED and basic arithmetic ability are required; prior cleaning experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add/subtract two-digit numbers; work with money and measurements).

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace liners.
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax floors; sweep all areas.
• Dust, wipe surfaces, clean glass; polish and sanitize.
• Wash, wipe, rinse, disinfect assigned areas.
• Note and report repairs or hazards to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules and company policies at all times.
• Report damage or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Janitor role in the company is responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance cleaning of interior buildings/facilities/lobby’s office areas, restrooms and all areas determined by contract or assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pick up trash and replace with trash liners
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas
• Dust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, sanitize all areas.
• Wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour and disinfect any assigned work area
• Note and report all areas in need of repair and any hazardous condition requiring correction.
• Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and procedures
• Report all damage to customer property, suspicious activities and unsafe conditions within their work area to the supervisor.
• All other duties as defined by supervisor.

QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
