Job summary

Glacier Peaks Casino is seeking a diligent Janitor to support our Maintenance team in Browning, MT. This part-time role focuses on keeping our facility clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and staff, with responsibilities across floors, restrooms, offices, and outdoor areas.

The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures, the ability to work independently or with a team, and the physical stamina to perform routine tasks and lift objects as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work within a commercial or retail environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safety procedures.
• Capability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces throughout the commercial building.
• Maintain restrooms by cleaning fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
• Handle waste management duties including emptying trash bins, recycling, and proper disposal of waste materials.
• Conduct minor landscaping and outdoor maintenance tasks such as lawn care, trimming bushes, and clearing debris to enhance the exterior appearance.
• Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently, including floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Follow established safety procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
• Use computer systems to log maintenance activities, report issues, and communicate with management as needed.
• Assist with lifting and moving heavy objects or equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
