Job summary

Agropur is hiring a Janitor in Minnesota with a starting wage of $18.66 per hour and 7 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday. In-house training provided, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with up to 7% company contributions, PTO from day 1, holidays, and tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks per the Master Sanitation and Deep Cleaning Schedules.
• Work safely and efficiently in all plant areas including break rooms, locker rooms, offices, and corridors.
• Keep work area and janitorial supplies organized and maintained.
• Understand and report any potential food safety issues to management.
• Complete necessary paperwork to meet documentation requirements.
• Assist in executing pest control program and monitoring the facility.
• Complete non-routine cleaning/sanitation tasks as assigned.
• Assist in training/mentoring of newly hired janitorial team members.
• Assist in snow removal and winter maintenance.
• Adhere to chemical safety protocols and site PPE requirements.
• Support safety policies and programs.

Your key responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks per the Master Sanitation and Deep Cleaning Schedules.

• Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.

• Complete necessary paperwork to ensure all documentation requirements are met.

• Assist in executing pest control program and monitoring facility.

• Complete non-routine cleaning/sanitation tasks as assigned.

• Assist in the training/mentoring of newly hired janitorial team members.

• Assist in snow removal and management during winter months.

• Adhere to chemical safety protocols and site PPE requirements.

• Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.

• Correct or report any observed safety hazards.

The individual who will own this role:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• No experience required; in-housing training provided.

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues.
