Job summary

Controlled Contamination Services is seeking a dependable Janitor to perform general cleaning of interior buildings, offices and lobby areas. Responsibilities include trash removal, floor care (vacuuming, mopping, stripping and waxing), glass cleaning, sanitizing and reporting any hazards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and the ability to perform basic arithmetic.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with tens and hundreds.
• Capable of working in loud environments and following safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace liners.
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax floors, and sweep all areas.
• Dust, clean glass, sanitize and disinfect assigned areas.
• Report hazards and damages to supervisor.

Utilizing state of the art strategies, processes and human capital, Controlled ensures the highest degree of service and integrity for the sensitive environment we support; impacting those industries that impact the world.POSITION PURPOSE:The Janitor role in the company is responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance cleaning of interior buildings/facilities/lobby’s office areas, restrooms and all areas determined by contract or assigned by supervisor.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Pick up trash and replace with trash linersVacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areasDust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, sanitize all areas.Wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour and disinfect any assigned work areaNote and report all areas in need of repair and any hazardous condition requiring correction.Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and proceduresReport all damage to customer property, suspicious activities and unsafe conditions within their work area to the supervisor.All other duties as defined by supervisor.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Required to spend on-the-job time on the following physical activities:StandWalkLift/ClimbTalk/HearUse hands to finger, handle or feel.Reach with hands or arms.The Weight or Force requirement in this position is: Up to 40 pounds.Loud environments (examples: metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment)Controlled Contamination Services is an equal opportunity employer – vets/disability.
