Job description

Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Jamf/Configuration Management Administrator (Systems Administration, Associate). This role involves systems administration and tier three support for Apple MacOS systems and configuration management via Jamf. Responsibilities include maintaining and supporting users and computers, performing system administrative tasks using scripting, Jamf, and other tools, managing security configurations, and resolving technical issues.

This position currently requires a hybrid schedule, with 1 day on-site or as needed. Schedule may change based on company/contract needs.

Responsibilities
  • Manage computer configurations, security, applications, and support Mac users using administrative tools like Jamf and scripting.
  • Support projects and initiatives aligned with customer requirements and security mandates.
  • Create and update tickets/tasks in management tools such as Azure DevOps and ServiceNow, ensuring clear communication and reporting.
  • Test and document results to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Follow change management policies to support governance and approval processes for systems administration.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including:
    • Experience as a Jamf systems administrator in a federal agency or large private enterprise.
    • Experience with Apple configuration management, securing Mac OS to meet STIG compliance, managing security clients, and deploying applications.
    • Scripting experience for Mac using BASH, Python, Swift, or similar.
    • Knowledge of network configuration and security principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Familiarity with enterprise environments and IT best practices.
  • Desired Qualifications
    • Previous experience at NIH.
    • Managing and setting up Jamf instances, including server certificate renewals and upgrades.
    • Experience with PIV or multifactor authentication on Mac.
    • Experience with Druva.
    • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticket platforms.
    • Certifications such as Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT), Jamf (300 level or higher), or Security+.
    • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
    Education

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED plus 6 years relevant experience, or
    • Associate’s Degree plus 4 years relevant experience.

    Compensation

    The MIL Corporation offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, disability, retirement plans, paid time off, professional growth opportunities, and tuition assistance. The projected salary range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience. Final salary will be determined during hiring.
