The Jail Diversion Coordinator provides direct services to persons with IDD at high risk for involvement with law enforcement, such as persons who exhibit repeated and severe behaviors that jeopardize safety and living arrangement. The Jail Diversion Coordinator serves as a liaison between Texana Center and various community partners within Fort Bend County including Fort Bend County Courts, Behavioral Health Services, Probation, Sheriff’s Department and the Fort Bend County Jail. This position includes rotation of after-hours, on-call crisis coverage, on-call crisis resolution by phone or audio-visual services.
