Green County is hiring a full-time jailer in Wisconsin. Starting pay is $26.67 per hour with night-shift differential and generous benefits including Wisconsin Retirement Fund and medical, dental, vision, disability, and deferred compensation. Uniforms and gear are provided.

Extra duty pay applies for certain roles and incentives for physical readiness. Schedule consists of 12-hour shifts with every other Friday-Saturday-Sunday off; there is potential for lateral entry with higher pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 20 and U.S. citizen per Wis. Stats.
• No felony or domestic violence convictions as defined by state/federal law.
• Must be capable of completing LESB Jailer certification and maintain recertification.

Responsabilités

• Maintain safety, security and discipline in the jail.
• Intervene to stop disturbances and conduct inmate searches.
• Take custody of and release inmates; prepare reports.
