Position Details

• Base Location: 3974 I-55 South Frontage Rd, Jackson, MS 39212
• Routes include LA, N of I-10/12 and S of I-20, covering Central LA; Thursdays/Fri W TN, N MS, up to Cape Girardeau, MO
• Regional Position
• Averages 1800-2100 miles/week

Compensation

Less than 2,000 miles/week: $806.77 Weekly Guarantee + $16.50 per stop
Over 2,000 miles/week: $806.77 Weekly Guarantee + $0.42 per mile over 2000 + $16.50 per stop
Breakdown and Detention: $15 per hour
Layover: $80

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer according to company policies, DOT guidelines, and traffic laws in various conditions.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer.
• Secure cargo on trailer.
• Deliver products according to the route and schedule, as indicated on the manifest.
• Open, close, and secure trailer curtains/doors at customer locations for unloading.
• Ensure product accuracy and quality by scanning tags and visually inspecting unloaded products.
• Obtain customer signatures on proof of delivery and submit as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck and trailer.
• Operate and maintain a Mobile Electronic Onboard Recording device.
• Report any issues or damages promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Attend safety and departmental meetings.
• Be able to pull a 175 lb trailer curtain open/closed and unstrap/re-strap loads.
• Obtain a DOT-certified medical card and pass a physical abilities test at hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 18 months of verifiable interstate tractor-trailer driving experience within the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years and no more than 3 in the past 7 years.
• No reckless driving, including speeding 15+ MPH or leaving the scene of an accident in the past 3 years.
• No at-fault DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 years.
• No DUI violations within the past 7 years.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
