Job summary

Jackson Park Golf Course is seeking a part-time driving range staff member for the Jackson Park Driving Range in Chicago, Illinois. You will support guest service and handle daily range operations in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment.

The role splits time between counter service and range maintenance, requires lifting up to 40 pounds, and works outdoors in all weather. Weekend shifts and peak-season flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Friendly, reliable, and punctual.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Training provided for range picking equipment.
• Basic POS experience preferred.
• Interest in golf is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours during peak season.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Physical stamina required for extended periods of standing, walking, and outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Operate the driving range counter, sell buckets, process transactions accurately, and assist guests with purchases.
• Maintain a clean and organized counter area and shop space.
• Pick range balls using the mechanical picker and range vehicle, following scheduled rotation.
• Clean, sort, and restock range balls to ensure consistent supply throughout operating hours.
• Monitor range conditions and communicate any safety concerns or maintenance needs to management.
• Greet guests professionally and answer questions about range operations, pricing, and facility amenities.
• Enforce range rules and etiquette to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned.
