Job summary

Southland Holdings is seeking an experienced Jack and Bore Welder for our large heavy civil project located in Cape Coral, FL. This full-time role requires hands-on welding expertise on demanding site work.

Responsibilities include adhering to safety practices, planning work with the Operations team, ensuring resources are available, complying with safety policies, completing forms and reports, and using PPE as required. Office location: Tampa area.

• Plan out work activities with Operations team to develop best means and methods, including developing safety action plans or other emergency plans as needed.
• Ensures team has proper resources for the timely completion of work, including laborer, tools, equipment and material.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all company and customer safety policies and procedures
• Complete written forms and reports as required.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, hearing protection, safety-toe boots or safety glasses when required.

Physical Demands

Essential job duties include climbing ladders into and out of earthen pits/trenches' walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting, lifting up to 50 pounds, full range of motion and use of arms and legs, working around heavy equipment and active construction zones.
