Job summary

Apogee seeks a Software Application SME to support mission-critical modernization and deployment for the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center and USSTRATCOM/J56, on-site at Offutt AFB, Nebraska.

The role advances mission planning and execution capabilities through systems engineering, Agile/DevOps, and CI/CD practices while collaborating with DoD partners to enhance survivability and interoperability of strategic software and systems.

Qualifications

• Citizenship and a TS/SCI clearance are required.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years with the DoD.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Manage Adaptive Planning and Execution System (APS) functions for J56 operations.
• Coordinate APS requirements and usage across joint planning teams.
• Support integration of APS tools into operational and strategic planning efforts.
• Maintain system configurations, user access, and data accuracy.
• Train users and provide technical support for APS-related activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve planning workflows and capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with DoD directives and planning standards.

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Software Application SME to support mission-critical software modernization, development, and deployment efforts for the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center and US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM)/J56. This role involves advancing mission planning and execution capabilities for strategic deterrence through systems engineering, Agile/DevOps practices, and continuous integration/delivery methodologies. Contractors will be engaged in evaluating and enhancing the survivability, interoperability, and reliability of strategic weapon systems while contributing to planning documents, test and evaluation strategies, and rapid technology fielding efforts. This is a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical NC3 software and systems that shape national defense strategies and collaborate with diverse DoD and government partners to drive innovation and operational excellence in support of the strategic enterprise. This is a full-time position located on-site at Offutt, Nebraska.
