J3 General Mechanic

Description:

Position Title: J3 General Mechanic

Pay Rate: $46.80/hr. ($.90 to $1.83/hr. shift allowance)

Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills, and abilities, will determine the final placement within the pay range.

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 for new hires.

Relocation Bonus: Up to $10,000 in assistance for relocating more than 75 miles from Port Wentworth Mill.

The Job You Will Perform:
  1. Routine maintenance work
  2. Replacing valves & gaskets
  3. Basic welding, pump & valve repacking
  4. Forklift operations, pipe & tubing installations
  5. Cylinder, pump, and motor repair and replacement
  6. Repair of rotating assemblies, roll repair, and replacements
  7. Repair of mechanical drive systems
The Skills You Will Bring:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • 5+ years of Heavy Industrial Maintenance experience in Millwright, Welding, or Pipefitting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Millwright, Welding, or Pipefitting
  • Relevant industrial work experience
  • Strong math and physics understanding
  • Millwright background on the mechanical side
  • SAP experience
