Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work assigned shifts at the GDW Reno, J Resort, and other Jacobs properties in the Reno area as needed
  • Patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and protection of guests, employees, tenants, and property
  • Assist guests, employees, and tenants as needed
  • Inspect doors, windows, gates, etc., to ensure security
  • Enforce company policies regarding guest and employee conduct
  • Document infractions and advise management accordingly
  • Report irregularities such as fire hazards or unlocked security doors
  • Respond to emergencies including fire, injuries, or property damage
  • Assist in evacuations during serious emergencies
  • Escort casino employees during pit drops, slot drops, jackpots, and credits
  • Transport chips, currency, and tokens to requesting tables/booths
  • Log and store lost and found articles
  • Enforce state gaming laws, including removing underage persons from the casino floor
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as trained and certified

Skills, Education, and Other Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
  • Ability to obtain Nevada Gaming registration card
  • Valid Nevada Driver’s License
  • Obtain Alcohol Awareness card
  • Valid identification establishing identity and right to work in the U.S.
