Job summary

Aspire San Antonio is seeking a Laboratory Director to lead the IVF laboratory operations at our San Antonio, Texas facility. The role oversees complex infertility-related procedures and ensures compliance with clinical standards.

The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in laboratory science (PhD preferred) and HCLD certification, with at least five years in human IVF labs and demonstrated leadership. A dynamic, organized leader is essential to drive quality and innovation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in laboratory science is required; PhD strongly preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a human IVF laboratory setting.
• HCLD certification is required.
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience in a laboratory environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all IVF laboratory operations to ensure optimal performance and compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Direct recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of laboratory staff to maintain high standards of care and service.
• Develop and manage QC/QA/QI initiatives; maintain records and analyze data for continuous improvements.
• Participate in ongoing research initiatives in oocyte cryopreservation, maturation, and PGT.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements; support organization-wide performance improvement.
