Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking an IVF/ART Lab Specialist to perform specialized testing related to Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) with minimal supervision. This full-time position, based at Greenspring Station in Lutherville, MD, requires working 6:00am–2:30pm with weekend rotations.

Reports to Laboratory Director/Supervisor; Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science is required, with Master’s/PhD preferred. 3 years of ART lab experience is required, and 5 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science.
• Masters or PhD preferred.
• 3 years of experience in a human or animal assisted reproduction lab.
• Relevant knowledge and experience in a human assisted reproduction lab preferred (5 years).

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Laboratory Director/supervisor.
• Performs specialized testing related to Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) with minimal supervision.
• Routinely analyzes tests and results to ensure accuracy.
• Participates in quality control, procedure development and research projects.

Location: Johns Hopkins at Greenspring Station, Lutherville, MD -Assisted Reproductive Technologies Lab

Full Time/Days: 6:00am-2:30pm

Position Summary:

• Reports to the Laboratory Director/supervisor.
• With minimal supervision and in strict compliance with established policies and procedures, performs the specialized testing related to Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).
• Routinely analyzes tests and results to ensure accuracy.
• Participates in quality control, new procedure development and research projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science from an accredited institution required.
• Masters or PhD, preferred

Work Experience:

• Experience in a human or animal assisted reproduction lab. 3 years required.
• Relevant knowledge and experience in a human assisted reproduction lab. 5 years preferred.

Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training:

• Technical Supervisor board certified by American Board of Bioanalysts, Preferred.
