Job summary

Foxhole Technology, Llc seeks an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and deploy cloud-native web applications using React, Next.js, and NestJS in a hybrid environment in the Arlington area. You will implement AWS patterns, integrate with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, and drive CI/CD pipelines and IaC tooling.

Requirements include 7+ years in enterprise web development, AWS deployment experience, and a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive software engineering experience developing and supporting enterprise web applications.
• Experience deploying applications in AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, ECS/Fargate, and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/CDK or equivalent).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, or similar tools.
• Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, stored procedures, ORM frameworks, and performance tuning.
• Experience implementing secure application development practices, including MFA integration (Okta/CyberArk) and NIST security standards.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-native web applications using React, Next.js (frontend), and NestJS (backend).
• Implement AWS-native infrastructure patterns including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and ECS/Fargate.
• Integrate NestJS apps with relational databases (Oracle and/or PostgreSQL/Aurora).
• Develop and maintain database objects including stored procedures, functions, and schema migrations using ORM tooling (TypeORM or Prisma).
• Utilize database tools such as DBeaver, pgAdmin, or SQL Developer for development and troubleshooting.
• Drive data quality initiatives and provide production support for database-related issues.
• Participate in automated deployment processes using AWS-native tooling (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CloudFormation/CDK) or equivalent IaC frameworks.
• Collaborate with team members to create and maintain deployment automation scripts and documentation.
• Use CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus to manage code repositories, build pipelines, and artifact storage.
• Contribute to continuous integration and delivery processes to ensure rapid and reliable software releases.
• Integrate web apps with MFA products such as OKTA and CyberArk.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Work in an agile scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including testers, to swarm stories and resolve issues quickly.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
• Provide ongoing support to the testing teams, including troubleshooting, clarifying requirements, and resolving defects to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Utilize Jira Service Management for issue tracking, service requests, and project management.
