Job summary

STHS Heart in Texas seeks Pharmacy Technicians/Trainees to assist the licensed pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and keeping records. You will work under written procedures and comply with state and federal regulations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Texas State Pharmacy Technician Registration, and ASHP/ACPE certification within 180 days if not already certified.

Qualifications

• Two years hospital or 1 year IV experience preferred.
• Knowledge of laws, rules and regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, solve problems, adapt to changes.
• Aptitude for working with other health care professionals.
• Willing to travel between STHS facilities.
• Commitment to the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
