Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking an IV Technician to accurately mix and distribute intravenous medications using aseptic technique, while maintaining inventory and IV pumps per policy. You will prepare large- and small-volume admixtures, chemotherapy agents, and nutrition solutions, ensuring proper documentation and cleanroom discipline.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred IV room experience and National Pharmacy Technician Certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• 1 year experience in IV room preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter IV medication orders into the pharmacy system per physician orders.
• Maintain adequate inventory of medications and IV supplies.
• Maintain and calibrate IV pumps per policy.
• Follow USP 797 guidelines during compounding.
• Prepare large-volume intravenous medications and small-volume admixtures.
• Prepare total parenteral nutrition solutions and chemotherapeutic agents.
• Document all compounding logs and patient information.
• Maintain cleanliness of the cleanroom and anteroom and document environmental monitoring.
