Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Healthcare in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an IV Technician II to prepare and deliver IV admixtures under the supervision of a pharmacist. Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School or GED equivalent.
• Preferred: Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program.
• Experience: 1+ year as a Pharmacy Technician preferred; must be registered with Virginia Board of Pharmacy and be Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Responsibilities

• Prepare IV admixtures under the supervision of a pharmacist and deliver to the correct clinical unit.
• Maintain inventory in the IV admixture room and order supplies from the storeroom.
• Notify the pharmacy buyer of special drugs and supplies needed for the area.
• Clean and organize the IV admixture room and laminar flow hoods according to hospital policies.
