Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. is seeking a licensed Florida Pharmacy Technician to join our IV department in Orlando. You will enter IV medication orders, maintain patient and prescription data, and generate labels under pharmacist review.

Candidates with IV experience and PTCB certification are preferred. The role requires reliability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed FL Pharmacy Technician required.
• IV medication experience preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.
• Must be reliable and execute multiple tasks assigned.
• Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.

Responsibilities

• Enter IV medication orders for pharmacist review and ensure all order information is accurate and complete.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient, customer, and prescription information.
• Generate labels for IV medications and sterile compounded preparations.
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to IV order-related inquiries.
• Clarify IV orders and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Review, organize, and triage incoming faxes and prescription orders.
• Follow proper sterile compounding techniques and maintain compliance with pharmacy standards, policies, procedures, and quality controls.
• Participate in pharmacy inventory and rotate IV medications and supplies to support inventory control and quality standards.
• Work under the direction of a supervisor and collaborate with pharmacists and team members to support the IV department and overall pharmacy operations.
• Complete other duties and tasks assigned by the supervisor.
